Your ambitions and goals amaze me,

You fail to live your lives.

Sweating it out all year round,

So that your son thrives.

You give a new meaning to being selfless,

A new face to the Lord.

I will always curse myself for sure,

So long I took to strike a chord.

I used to think I made my own way,

It was me who faced tough times.

Failing to realise what you've sacrificed,

You've been punished for all my crimes.

It's so easy to say all parents do that,

Not knowing what it takes,

Now that I think of the pain you took,

My heart sinks and aches.

You've also taught me what love is,

It's definitely not what I think,

It's the bond that you two share,

It's something that will never shrink.

I've never heard you two say 'I love you',

I thought it was a rule,

But when I see you two stand together,

I feel like such a fool.

I don't think I'll ever be even close to what you are,

I can't be that great a son.

I can't express how grateful I am,

You made me what I am, for that, thanks a ton.

I hope he blesses you two,

Because trust me mom and dad,

Such caring souls like you are very few.

Lastly, I just plead your pair,

Live your life, make up for the dearth.
